Raquel’s extensive background in working with this population allows her to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care using techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered Therapy. She works collaboratively with her clients to create a safe, nurturing environment where they can explore their emotions, develop coping skills, and work through past experiences in a meaningful way. Raquel’s approach is holistic, focusing not only on the challenges children and adolescents face, but also on their strengths, resilience, and potential for growth.

Recognizing the growing need for skilled professionals in this field, Raquel is now training Licensed Associate Counselors (LACs) and Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSWs) to specialize in working with children and adolescents. Through this training, she ensures that these emerging professionals are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and techniques to effectively support young people in their therapeutic journeys. Raquel’s commitment to mentoring and training new therapists is driven by her belief that every child and adolescent deserves to receive high-quality, trauma-informed care from qualified professionals.
